More Awareness = More Customers
We went from getting a couple of enquiries per week to new paying customers daily, by taking a fresh approach to our social media presence.
Here’s some of what we did…
- Several posts each week on our Instagram & Facebook pages to show people that we're active and open for business.
- Used a mix of "what we're up to" posts, highlighting positive reviews, combined with "asking for business" (offers, for example). This helped to build familiarity and trust, giving customers more confidence in doing business with us.
- Simplified our website so that people can easily get the basic info they need and then get in contact to start a discussion about placing an order. Converting more "browsers" into actual paying customers.
- Use a powerful technique for gaining followers in our local area who are the exact type of people who are interested in the type of service we offer (especially local small businesses, tradespeople, gym owners etc).
- Made sure our business details are up to date & well presented on platforms such as Google Maps, review sites etc
We noticed that a lot of business owners out there are not taking full advantage of keeping an active presence on social media, and are therefore missing out on business.
There are plenty of reasons for this of course:
- It's time consuming
- Requires some technical knowledge
- Lack of awareness of just how many people are actively using social media for several hours per day (especially compared to 10 or even 5 years ago), and make buying decisions based on how a business presents itself online.
- Often becomes a lower priority task during busier times, leading to pages not getting updated for several months or even years, which doesn't look good to new prospects.
